Tips on various topics related to your profile and Settings.

To make its use safe and fun, there are some special features for you as a child or teenager.

Profile design: With Gampeon you use a nickname (pseudonym) instead of your real name for communication. A pseudonym offers you more security and protection against insults, rip-offs and other data abuse. Therefore do not choose a username that contains your real name or is too similar (Not: MichaelBonn, ChristineMichl, SteffiWien, etc.). It should also not contain sexual innuendo, extremist statements, or other legal or rule violations (Not: hotBunny, MissXXX, Hengst100, 88Adi88, SS-Man, etc.)

Secure Password: Think of a secure, fancy password and never give it to anyone else under any circumstances. A good password should be at least 8 characters long and a mixture of letters, numbers and special characters. Remember to change your password regularly. Beware of so-called “phishing sites”! Fraudsters try to get data such as passwords with the help of websites that may look similar to Jappy. In return, credits are promised if you enter your login data there. These pages have NOTHING to do with Jappy. Phishing sites harm you!

Posting Pictures: If you post pictures publicly, please always remember that they are visible to all visitors of your profile. In your privacy settings you can determine who can write comments on your pictures and who can tag you on photos. For your protection, you should observe the following picture rules: Do not post pictures that are too permissive or contain sexual innuendo. They can be misinterpreted by other users and harm you. Do not use pictures that contain obscene or provocative gestures. Do not use pictures showing you (or friends) with cigarettes, alcohol or other drugs. Do not use pictures that could embarrass or harm you in the future. Never send pictures to other users you don’t know. Even if these users seem trustworthy to you, you never know what is really happening with your pictures. Never react to requests of a model scout/photographer/talent scout/etc. These are almost always dubious providers who have other plans.

Contact with others: Please always remember that your virtual acquaintances are strangers in real life. Everything that another user writes can also be a lie, all profile details can be untrue. Maybe there is a 40-year-old man behind your 15-year-old virtual girlfriend? Be careful and have a healthy distrust. Behave fairly on the Internet – the same laws, rules, and manners apply in the virtual world as in real life. Insults and threats, hate, bullying, or other violations are out of place and not allowed at Gampeon.

Meeting a Stranger: Never meet alone with people you do not know personally. Even if the user seems very nice and trustworthy to you, you never know what their actual goals are. Unfortunately, there are always cases where young people are put in danger by such meetings. Never get involved in meetings with alleged model scouts/photographers/talent scouts/etc. Behind such requests are in most cases very dubious people who want to harm you. Good agencies choose another way. If you want to meet a stranger, talk to your parents about it, and bring an adult with you.

Getting harassed: If a user asks you indecent questions or sexually harasses you in any other way, do not respond to them and set the user to Ignore. This will prevent the user from viewing your profile, sending you messages or writing you a guestbook entry. To ignore a user, go to his profile and click on the small arrow below the nickname. Then a menu will open where you will find the button “Ignore”. If you are being harassed, be sure to talk to your parents or another adult about it, and contact the moderator team at any time if you have any further questions or problems

Getting Bullied online: If you are repeatedly insulted or harassed, be sure to talk to your parents or another adult about it. Do not let yourself be provoked by bullying and do not react to comments, messages, etc. Reactions often only incite the perpetrators even more. Use our protection measures such as the contact filter and the ignore function and use the privacy settings to make certain contents of your profile accessible only to friends. If you are a victim of cyberbullying or know any victims, please contact our team of moderators

How to use my Data: Even if another user asks nicely for your name, phone number, or address, never give them to people you don’t know in real life. If a stranger knows where you live, it can be dangerous for you. Do not respond to requests from alleged model scouts/photographers/talent scouts or other agencies. Never give your name, phone number, or address. Behind such inquiries are in most cases very dubious people who want to harm you.

Personality Rights: Every person has the right to his own image. So you decide which pictures of yourself may be published. Another user is not allowed to upload a picture of you to his profile. If you are uncomfortable with a photo, please ask the user to delete it from his profile. If this should not happen, please contact our moderator team at any time

Use the contact filter: The contact filter is one of the most important features when it comes to your protection at Gampeon. This filter allows you to protect yourself from contact attempts of a certain age group. So you can set that adults of a certain age can not contact you by mail or other means. All members who are on your friend list can of course contact you – regardless of their age. The contact filter is preset for minors. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you can change this setting.

Your Privacy Settings: Gampeon offers different ways to hide the content of your profile from other users. The privacy settings allow you to control who can and cannot see certain parts of your profile. For example your pictures, your guestbook, your personal page, etc. Please take a close look at the options and use the privacy settings. Especially your pictures and the detailed profile information should be protected in any case.

Ignore a User: If a user seems strange to you, if you are asked unpleasant questions, or if you are harassed, insulted or threatened, do not act on it, but set the user to Ignore. The Ignore function: Click on the profile of the user to be ignored click on “more” above the profile picture “Click on “Ignore User XYZ

Your Privacy Settings: Gampeon offers different ways to hide the content of your profile from other users. The privacy settings allow you to control who can and cannot see certain parts of your profile. A Parents’ Guide to the Protection of Minors

A jointly developed guideline not only gives your child the feeling of being taken seriously but also enables understanding and identification with the established rules

Following The Rules: Explain to your child that the same laws, rules, and manners apply in a virtual room as in real life. The Internet is not an anonymous space that offers protection from criminal prosecution in case of an emergency! Insults and threats, incitement, bullying, or other violations are therefore out of place and can be further prosecuted. Besides the usual manners and laws, there are special rules, which Gampeon has set up.

Use protective measures: Explain to your child the protective mechanisms of our community. He or she has the possibility to activate a contact filter that protects him or her from contact by a certain age group. In case of unwanted contact, your child can also ignore the respective user. In addition, our adolescent users can determine in the privacy settings in which areas of the profile are public or only visible to a limited group of people.

Pay attention to personal representation: Talk to your child about the type of personal presentation on the Internet. How does your child present itself in words and pictures? Make it clear that everything your child reveals about himself on the Internet is perceived by a great many people. What seems funny or harmless today can be very embarrassing or harmful for your child tomorrow.

Never meet with internet acquaintances: Explain to your child that meeting an Internet acquaintance can be very dangerous. Make it clear that the supposed friend from the Internet is a stranger in real life, whose plans nobody knows.

Use our Protection functions.

Our Website offers a lot of features to ensure child safety and creates a safe space for everyone.

Use the contact filter: The contact filter is one of the most important features when it comes to your protection at Gampeon. This filter allows you to protect yourself from contact attempts of a certain age group. So you can set that adults over a certain age cannot contact you by email or other means. All members who are on your friend list can of course contact you – regardless of their age. The contact filter is preset for minors. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you can change this setting. However, we would ask you to keep our default setting and not deactivate the contact filter.

Use privacy settings: Gampeon offers different ways to hide the contents of your profile from other users. The privacy settings allow you to control who can and cannot see certain parts of your profile. For example your pictures, your guestbook, your personal page, etc. Please take a close look at the options and use the privacy settings. Especially your pictures and the detailed profile information should be protected in any case.

Contact Us: If you have general questions or problems, you can also send an email to the internal Jappy support team. You can reach the support at privacy@gampeon.come.
